ANACORTES (0-5) AT BELLINGHAM (3-2)

Time: 7 PM Friday

Site: Civic Stadium

When Anacortes has the ball: The Seahawks have struggled getting into the end zone this season, but they can move the ball. This could be an interesting game, that might look like a college game from the 40’s. All 22 players could be bunched up in the middle on 90% of the plays, based on the offenses for both teams. I expect linebacker Jack Fields to be in on at least 15 tackles as he will combat against the single-wing Anacortes offense.

When Bellingham has the ball: The Red Raiders want to pound the ball, and they are on a roll. Quarterback Morgan Cavalier keeps improving every week with his decision making, and his running ability has always been there. Butch Mullins and Christian Butenschoen can each create giant holes to run through, and if you crowd the line, Spencer Lee will make you pay.

Statistical Progress: Speaking of Spencer Lee, he is already the school’s career leader in receiving yards (1546) and receiving touchdowns (16). He is currently second place in receptions (92), which is just five behind former teammate Ethan Fields.
