MERIDIAN (3-2) AT LYNDEN CHRISTIAN (5-0)

Time: 7 PM Friday

Site: Lynden Christian High School

When Meridian has the ball: If senior All-State lineman Adam Kruzich is unable to play, it will affect the Trojan offense. Dawson Logan might have to rely on quick passes to Kevin Galiano and Dylan Hickok on the outside to pick up yardage. Cole Roberts is a good running back, but picking up yards against LC’s defense could be tough. Davis Gatterman is a stud at linebacker, and could shadow Logan. Sam Faber can also make plays, and the interior of the Lyncs line with Dylan Kaemingk and Zach Sipma is scary good.

When Lynden Christian has the ball: The Lyncs would like to run the ball with Levi Korthuis, but Easton Stremler is also a tremendous runner that can spell Korthuis from time to time. Trajan Schouten is a game-time decision at quarterback, but Bryce Bouwman is an awesome backup to have. LC has great speed on the outside with Jackson Corkill, route-running with Jalen Apol and Tanner Feenstra can make unbelievable grabs. Logan, along with Harlon Stuit and Dante Castaneda will match up well against the LC receivers. Dylan Hickok is amazing to watch at linebacker.

Statistical Progress: Less than a few dozen players in Whatcom County history have done what Dawson Logan has already accomplished in his career. He has amassed over 500 yards rushing, 500 yards receiving and 500 yards passing in his career. A true talent. Three more rushing touchdowns, and he will accomplish an even more rarer feat, scoring 10 touchdowns on the ground, 10 touchdowns through the air, and passing for 10 touchdowns.
