BELLINGHAM (4-2) AT MOUNTLAKE TERRACE (4-2)

Time: 8 PM Friday

Site: Edmonds District Stadium

When Bellingham has the ball: The Red Raiders have found their identity on offense. Run the ball, keep on running until you can stop it. And lately, nobody has been able to do so. The offensive line is huge, and collectively have mastered the art of blocking in the Wing-T offense. Fullback Jack Fields will always gain positive yards on his explosive runs up the middle. Towner Goodman has been explosive, and has scored on multiple long touchdowns. Don’t forget about the Morgan Cavalier-to-Spencer Lee connection that could erupt at any time.

When Mountlake Terrace has the ball: The Red Raider defense has been improving all season, and now have two shutouts. It likely won’t be a shutout tonight, but Bellingham knows the importance of this game. The winner will take the sole lead of the NWC 2A Lake Division. Fields is the catalyst at inside linebacker. Lee is dynamic as a defensive back and is great at timing leaps over the receiver to grab interceptions. Linebacker Jackson Taylor plays well off of Fields, and can stop the run and pass evenly.

Late Game: The game is scheduled for a 8 PM kickoff, but that’s highly unlikely. It is the second game of a double header, and the first game is a homecoming game. Throw in a longer overtime, and we might be waiting a while for this game to start.
