Current Status: A young group of talented players. The majority of the team is made up of first time varsity regulars, and I expect the experience they are gaining every game will produce a strong finish. As usual, Coach Dan Vander Kooi has his guys active on the base paths. Sophomore Shale Whittern leads the county in hits and steals, and he will be a fixture of NWC baseball for the next few years. The pitching staff has had trouble finding the strike zone, and it will need to for LC to be effective going forward.
