Current Status: After a strong start, the Pioneers have hit a wall that they seem to have a hard time getting over. I still feel that there is too much talent to not win more games the rest of this season. The addition of Koert Weidkamp will help shore up the defense in the middle of the infield. Evan Neitling and Easton Zylstra are terrific players, and freshmen Dawson Kimball and Collin Averill are earning a ton of valuable experience. Junior catcher Levi DeWeber has one of the strongest arms behind the plate. The big bugaboo has been walks. The purple clad pitchers have walked 77 batters this season in 70 innings.
