With the game tied at four in the bottom of the fifth inning, Lion sophomore Grace Potter’s line-drive three-run homerun broke the tie, and ultimately opened the floodgate for Lynden’s win. Potter finished the game going 3-for-4. Emma Ramerman got the win for the Lions in the circle, as she pitched five innings and struck out nine batters. She also helped her own cause by going 2-for-2 at the plate with three runs batted in and two runs scored. Ashlyn Alexander and Sammy Garcia also had a pair of hits. The Lyncs got a pair of hits from Karsyn Postma, Megan Smit and Anna Engles.

Squalicum senior Gracie Nguyen did a little bit of everything to help the Storm come out on top against the Mariners. She went 2-for-3 with a double and a homerun, scored two runs, walked once and knocked in three more runs while also picking up the win, as she pitched five innings allowing just one hit, two unearned runs and struck out nine. Regan Andersen came in to close the game out for Squalicum, pitching the final two innings, and she also collected a pair of hits. Sehome’s lone hit came off the bat of Rachel Zender. The Mariners also had runs scored by Haley Henderson and Lilia Vivaldo.

Sedro Woolley 10, Nooskack Valley 1
Pioneer center fielder Jayden Loreen doubled and scored in the first inning, but that was the only run that Nooksack Valley was able to put across against the Cubs. The Pioneers hit well, collecting 11 hits in the game, though. Sierra Anderson was 3-for-4, including a double, while Loreen, Jordyn Relethford and Aubree Bird all collected a pair of hits. Relethford struck out six batters in her six innings of work in the circle.
