Ferndale 18, Lynden Christian 8 (Game 1)

Mattingley

The Golden Eagles soared out to a 6-0 lead after the top of the first inning, and scored 10 runs in the sixth inning, to cruise to victory. Each player in the starting lineup had a base hit, and Alyssa Lankford led the way with four hits to go along with her two runs scored and two runs batted in. Hannah Mattingley went the distance in the circle, and picked up her second win on the season. She also went 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs batted in. Mac Van Soest went 2-for-4 for the Lyncs.

Ferndale 11, Lynden Christian 7 (Game 2)

Weston

Game two was a little more tightly contested, as the Golden Eagles had a 8-1 lead halfway through the third inning, but the Lyncs narrowed the lead to 8-7 after four innings. Ferndale was able to score more runs, and eventually hold on for the victory. AnaReece Weston and Vanessa Whitaker each had a pair of hits for the Golden Eagles. Whitaker, Mallory Butenschoen and Hannah Mattingley each also knocked in a pair of runs, and sophomore Payton Akers picked up her first varsity win. Faith Suprak led the Lyncs with two hits, and Annie Zylstra hit a homerun.

Relethford

The Mountaineers out-hit the Pioneers nine to six, but Baker also had six errors in the field, and Nooksack Valley was able to take advantage and take the victory. Jordyn Relethford picked up her second win of the season, as she struck out 11 batters and walked just one. She also went 1-for-3 at the plate with a walk. Sierra Anderson was also 1-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored. The Mounties were led offensively by Kaitlyn Rosenburg (three hits), Ashlynn Cloninger (two hits) and Ava Jeretzky (two hits).
