THE FEATURED FOUR
Roman Meenk – Senior – Center/Defensive Tackle
A true big man in the middle of both lines. A returning starter that will anchor the inside for the Lyncs. Great feet, awareness and overall ability to dominate, especially at the 1A level.
Caleb Ryan – Senior – Running Back/Wide Receiver/Inside Linebacker
Just plug and play. It doesn’t matter where. A former All-Conference 1st Team pick as a tight end after his sophomore season, in LC’s offense you will see him in the slot, or even behind the quarterback taking handoffs. He has every tool to make any play. After graduation took a lot of defensive playmakers, he also returns with the most tackles under his belt.
Will Colwell – Senior – Quarterback/Outside Linebacker
Nearly a carbon copy of Logan Dykstra. Great size, and arm strength. Makes throwing the football look effortless. Not the same runner Dykstra was, but he can take off with it. Will be a very good outside linebacker in a very string defensive unit.
Sam Penner – Senior – Wide Receiver/Cornerback
He led the Lyncs with eight passes broken up last season while playing in one of the best secondaries in Whatcom County history. He now brings his experience in the back four to help the other three along. He will also become a main target for Colwell on offense.
Who will be Lynden Christian’s break-out player?
Kade Eldridge – Junior – Wide Receiver/Defensive End
One of the players I’m most excited to watch play. Last season, I had named him as LC’s “break-out” player last season, but didn’t realize he was a late transfer and wasn’t eligible for varsity football. This year, he will be one of the best defensive ends around. Also, he will be split out wide at times, and he will be a major mismatch at times.
