The Trojans elevated their record to 3-0 after a big win over the Lyncs, 25-16-28-26 and 25-17. Lynden Christian was up 24-22 in the second set, but Meridian was able to come back and take the pivotal moment away from the Lyncs and complete the sweet one set later. Meridian senior Malaysia Smith led the way with 31 assists, three aces and three kills. Finnley Claeys put up big numbers once again, totaling 11 kills, 13 digs and an ace. Emry Claeys and Jolena Hoefer each added seven kills of their own, and Hoefer added 11 digs and a pair of aces. Avery Neal held down the defense with 21 digs to go with her two aces. The Trojans will go on the road on Tuesday to face the only other 3-0 team in Whatcom County, Nooksack Valley, and Lynden Christian (1-2) will play at the SunDome Volleyball Festival this Saturday.
