The Mariners took the first set 25-22, but the Pioneers found their rhythm in the second set and won three in a row, 25-19, 25-18 and 25-17. Junior Hallie Kamphouse had her best defensive night of the season with 17 digs. Junior Taylor Lentz and sophomore Lainey Kimball each contributed with seven kills a piece, and Kamphouse added six kills at the net. JoLea Turner served up six aces. For Sehome, Kaia Aylen had 15 kills and for aces, while Josie Wilson added 27 assists and Molly Burfeind dug out 35.
BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, LYNDEN 1
After capturing the first set in overtime, 27-25, the Lions lost the next three to the Tigers, 25-17, 25-19 and 25-21. Mya VanderYacht had a career-high 25 digs for the Lions, and setter Grace Rice had 25 assists. Ashley Shumate continued her strong play at the net this season by adding 11 kills to go along with three aces.
