Junior third baseman Jordan Mason supplied the thunder as he led off the game with a homerun, and the rest of the Golden Eagle offense took his lead. Mother Nature did the game, and supplied even more thunder and lightning during the second inning, which caused a delay in the game. Junior pitcher Dylan Strom allowed just one hit, a two-run double off the bat of Ethan Rutledge-Jones in the fourth inning. Junior shortstop Jake Mason led Ferndale with three hits.

Sophomore pitcher Lane Simonsen improved his season record to 4-0, and 6-0 in his young varsity career, as he went the distance in a one-hit shutout against a talented Borderite lineup. The Lions won their seventh game in a row, and racked up 16 hits. Coston Parcher led Lynden with three hits.

The Bayhawks enjoyed a four-run second inning when junior left fielder Logan Steeves sharply singled into center field with the bases loaded, which scored Jake Troost and Owen Rasmussen. Senior Landon Kerzman followed up with an RBI single to left field that scored Wyatt Harris, and Connor Anderson’s single scored Steeves when the left fielder committed an error. The Seahawks clawed back throughout the game, but were shut down in the final inning when Kerzman got the final three outs to pick up his first save of the season.

In a battle of two strong right arms, it was Storm senior Connor Brueske that narrowly outdueled junior Brady West in a tightly contested matchup. Both hurlers went the distance, and allowed just six hits each. Ben Hebert, Jacob Parcher and Chase Beaman each had a pair of hits for Squalicum, while junior center fielder Ethan Larson led the Mountaineers with two hits and two runs scored.

The Mariners held a 3-2 lead going into the final inning, but an explosive five runs by the Cubs caused Sehome to drop its fourth game in a row. Senior first baseman Gavin Ortega supplied the power for the Mariners with three hits, including two doubles and three runs batted in.
