Squalicum 8, King’s 4
The Knights scored three runs in the top of the first inning, but the Storm tied it up in the bottom of the second, took the lead in the bottom of the third and never looked back. Senior pitcher Joziah McCloud got the victory in relief and he allowed three hits, and struck out eight, in five plus innings. Senior shortstop Connor Brueske cracked two doubles, and is batting .400 on the young season.

A six-run fourth inning by the Spudders was enough to get the best of the previously unbeaten Lions. Senior second baseman Duke Ohligschlager led the way offensively with a pair of hits, including a triple, two runs a walk and a run batted in. Senior first baseman Case Zweegman also collected two hits and an RBI.

Friday Harbor 4, Mount Baker 2
The Wolverines picked up their second win of the week during their Whatcom County tour, this time over the Mountaineers. Mount Baker’s Daniel Washburn and Ethan Larson combined for over five innings of relief pitching in which they didn’t allow a run, allowed just four hits and struck out seven. Larson and Hayden Rosse each had RBI doubles.

Overlake 10, Lynden Christian 4
The powerful Owls scored nine runs in the final three innings as Overlake overtook the Lyncs late in the contest. Sophomore Brody Bouwman hit a 2-run homerun in the top of the sixth inning, but it wasn’t enough for Lynden Christian.
