Meridian 4, Lynden 3
In a battle of two pitchers with a 2-0 record, it was the Trojan freshman Jonah Aase that came out victorious. The lefty struck out 11 and allowed just four hits while pitching a complete game. The Lions took a 3-2 lead in the top of the 5th inning due to some defensive miscues by the Trojans, but Meridian answered back with two in the bottom of the inning.

Junior pitcher Jake Mason improved his career pitching record to 8-0 after a hard-fought battle with the Mountaineers. Despite giving up six hits, including a screaming come-backer that knocked his hat off, he allowed just one unearned run over five innings of work. Senior Ryan Pelton finished the game on the mound, and led offensively with two hits. The Golden Eagles pounded five extra base hits. Mount Baker sophomore Braven Nason continued swinging a hot bat, as he connected on a game-high three hits, including his second double in as many games.

The Borderites scored five runs in the first inning, and never looked back after that. Blaine also enjoyed its biggest offensive output of the year, which saw the orange and black total 14 hits, including triples by junior third baseman Axel Puls and senior short stop Jaxon Kortlever. Senior left fielder Aiden Holley knocked in three runs, and senior pitcher Anden Holley picked up his first victory on the season. Storm junior Elijah Knowlton had three runs batted in.

The Bayhawks held the Lyncs scoreless through the first four innings, but walks and timely hits allowed Lynden Christian to explode for seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to blow the game open. Junior pitcher Isaac Paxton went the distance to pick up his first victory on the season, and Dexter Zylstra had three hits, including a double. Senior Landon Kerzman and junior Ethan Brimble each had a pair of hits for Bellingham.

The Pioneers had their best offensive output of the season, but 12 walks and four errors contributed to giving up 14 runs to the Cougars. Nooksack Valley led 7-0 after two innings, but wasn’t able to sustain it. Cory Olney, Jake Tresselt and Ethan Rutledge-Jones each had a pair of hits for the Pioneers, and Kasey Newton scored four runs.

The Tigers jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings, and the Mariners scored three runs of their own in the top of the third, but that would be all Sehome could muster for the game. Junior Carson Neff had two hits, and catcher Matthew Chen knocked in a pair of runs for the Mariners.
