Lynden 13, Bellingham 2
The Lions became the first Whatcom County team to reach double digits in the win column, as they smacked 15 hits and scored 13 runs at Bellingham. Coston Parcher was in control on the mound, and he went five innings and struck out six to pick up his third win of the season. Duke Ohligschlager racked up five hits, and Cade Slayton hit a pair of doubles. Bayhawk senior centerfielder Landon Kerzman led his team with two hits, including a double and a stolen base.

The Pioneers were up 8-4 after the top of the third inning, but the Lyncs stormed back to score runs in every inning, and eventually come out on top. Lynden Christian freshman Austin Engels led the offensive attack with three hits, while leadoff hitter Jonah Terpstra knocked in a pair of runs. Junior pitcher Lane Dykstra picked up his first victory of the season for the Lyncs. Nooksack Valley was led offensively by juniors Bennett DeLange and Drew DeWispelaere who combined for five hits, while freshman Cory Olney and sophomore Eduardo Cerda each hit a double.

Jordan Mason scored on a fielder’s choice in the top of the seventh to tie the game at three, and Jake Mason struck out a batter with the winning run on third base in the bottom of the inning, which forced the game to go into extra innings. It was Jake Mason’s final pitch, as he hit the pitch count limit, but struck out 13 in the process. The Wildcats scored in the bottom of the eighth to win the game.

The Borderites were only able to manage two hits against the Cubs, and they couldn’t come around to score. Senior Aiden Vezzetti pitched well enough to win, but suffered his first loss of the season. He threw the complete game, struck out four and allowed just three hits.

Anacortes 6, Squalicum 4
The Stormn held a 2-1 advantage after three innings, but that was short-lived as the Seahawks put five on the board over the next two innings. Senior shortstop Connor Brueske knocked in three runs, and centerfielder Jacob Parcher led Squalicum with two hits.

Burlington-Edison 11, Mount Baker 7
The Mountaineers tied the game at six in the bottom of the fifth inning when senior third baseman Brent Anderson tripled, and Mount Baker took the lead when Anderson scored on a sacrifice fly by Elijah Washburn, but a big seventh inning by the Tigers put Burlington-Edison up for good. Junior centerfielder Ethan Larson collected a team-high three hits for the Mounties.

Senior Bryce Johnson suffered another tough-luck loss, yet still struck out 11 batters in five innings of work, while allowing just one unearned run. Johnson, along with freshmen Jonah Aase and Jaeger Fyfe, each had a pair of base hits for the Trojans.
