Lion junior Kaedan Hermanutz threw a three-hit shutout, and struck out four to help Lynden to its 13th victory of the season. Coston Parcher and Duke Ohligschlager each had three hits, and Case Zweegman knocked in three runs against a strong Tiger team. Hermanutz has pitched 12 innings this season so far, and hasn’t allowed a run.

The Golden Eagle offense exploded once again, scoring in a every inning of the five-inning shortened game. Left fielder Blake Martinez enjoyed the biggest game of his varsity career, as he was a triple away from hitting for the cycle while also knocking in four runs. Dylan Strom had three hits as well, and Tipton Bundy had two knocks. Each of the starting nine had a base hit in the contest, and Jake Mason picked up his Whatcom County leading fifth win of the season.

A six-run top of the fourth launched the Bayhawks ahead of the Cougars, and it was the hot bat of senior centerfielder Landon Kerzman once again. He had two hits, including a double, three runs batted in and scored two runs. Jake Troost picked up his second victory of the season, as he pitched five strong innings.

Senior Bryce Johnson finally got a little bit of run support, and needed all of it to pick up his first victory on the mound this season. Freshman Jack Anderson stopped the bleeding in the final inning, as the Pioneers scored all three of their runs in the seventh, and closed the game out in his varsity debut on the mound to pick up the save. Johnson struck out 13 batters, to give him a Whatcom County-leading 62 on the season. Freshman outfielder Jonah Aase paced the Trojan offense with a single, a double, a run scored and a stolen base.

The Mountaineers scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to even the score against the Borderites, and Mount Baker’s Landen Hanstead scored in the bottom of the sixth just before the third out was recorded at second base to put the Mounties up for good. Senior Brent Anderson went five strong innings before giving way to Elijah Washburn, who picked up his first varsity victory. Blaine junior Axel Puls collected three hits, including a triple, while junior catcher Brady West led Baker with a pair of hits.

The Seahawks scored a run in the first inning, but Mariner pitcher Jacob Gillig was able to settle down after that and scatter five hits over six innings, while striking out nine, to pick up his first win of the season and lower his ERA to just 1.83. Junior Carson Neff picked up the save, and also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and two stolen bases.

The Lync offense couldn’t get rolling, and totaled just three hits against the Wildcats. Freshman second baseman Austin Engels hit a double, and was the only Lynden Christian player to take a walk, and not strike out in the contest.
