THE FEATURED FOUR
Max Malo – Senior – Tight End/Outside Linebacker
The man of many positions, the dude is a football player. He’ll definitely be solidified at the outside linebacker spot, and he’s a true playmaker. He’s gotten bigger (6’2″ 215) and the athleticism is still there. A three-year starter on both sides of the ball.
Tommy Funk – Senior – Running Back/Outside Linebacker
It seems like he’s been around forever, yet he’s only played in nine varsity games. A shortened season, followed by an injury, Funk is ready to show everyone what he can do when playing a full schedule. One of the best overall two-way players in the county.
Braddock Duckworth – Junior – Wide Receiver/Safety
He burst onto the scene last season with an impressive debut against Nooksack Valley (eight receptions for 100 yards). His 6’6″ frame provides a great target, and he doesn’t shy away from big hits. He filled in tremendously at outside linebacker last season when Funk went down, but will be asked to range around the defensive backfield as a safety this season.
Alden Jacobs – Junior – Cornerback
Ball hawk extraordinaire. His progression last season, during the season alone, was monumental. Teams learned quick they couldn’t just “pick on the sophomore over there”. He can turn defense into instant offense, and has quickly become an impact player.
Who will be Sehome’s break-out player?
Andre Watson – Sophomore – Wide Receiver/Cornerback
He catches everything. And I mean, EVERYTHING. The great part, also, is that he can make you miss once he catches the ball. His hard work, and dedication, to the sport of football is starting to reap rewards. Other teams will learn about him very quickly.
