The Trojans upended the Lions at home on Wednesday night in front of a spirited crowd. Meridian won the first two sets 25-23, and Lynden came back to win the third set by the same score, but it was the strong fourth set (25-14) by the Trojans that captured the victory. Junior Emry Claeys had a career-night with 34 kills on a .359 hitting percentage, and she also added nine digs, two aces and two blocks. Avery Neal had 19 digs and eight kills, while fellow senior Rainn Hull had 13 digs and seven kills. Jessica Pounder was strong up front with six kills, and Rylan Bernardy aided the back end with 11 digs and pair of aces. Hayden Claeys masterfully ran the offense with 46 assists. Lynden was led by Haylee Koetje (24 kills and 18 digs), Grace Rice (37 assists, 13 digs), Mya VaderYacht (23 digs), Jos Sipma (six kills, four blocks), Kayla DeJong (five kills) and Rian Stephan (four kills)
