The Trojans got another conference win at home on Thursday night, this time by defeating the Mariners 25-11, 25-17 and 25-10. It was a well-rounded effort by everyone, as Meridian his .286 as a team for the entire match. Emry Claeys led with 18 kills and a .415 hitting percentage. Avery Neal had eight kills, eight digs and three aces, and Rylan Bernardy had 11 digs and five aces. Also serving extremely well was Maren Wefer who had two aces, and Hayden Claeys did some serving of her own, serving up her own teammates with 27 assists to go along with seven digs and and ace.
LYNDEN 3, LAKEWOOD 0
The Lions remained undefeated in conference play with a complete team effort against the Cougars, winning 25-21, 25-18 and 25-15. Grace Rice was once again all over the court with 23 assists to go along with her six digs, six kills and two blocks. Haylee Koetje added nine kills and eight digs, and Kiya Nyhoff registered five kills. The defense was led by Mya VanderYacht (18 digs), Lucy White (15 digs) and Kasi Thomas (10 digs). VanderYacht also led with four aces, and Thomas had two kills. Kayla DeJong and Ava Langstraat contributed with three kills each.
