The Lions improved to 3-0 after defeating their crosstown rivals 25-15, 25-18 and 25-17. A steady attack downed the Lyncs, and Lynden was led by outside hitter Haylee Koetje who tallied 10 kills and 12 digs. Junior setter Grace Rice ran the offense smoothly with 21 assists to go along with her 10 digs. Libero Mya VanderYacht served up a pair of aces while racking up 17 digs.
MERIDIAN 3, SQUALICUM 1
The Trojans also remained undefeated, but were tested by the Storm. After Meridian won the first two sets 25-15 and 25-22, Squalicum came back to win the third set 27-25. The Trojans came back in the fourth set to win it 27-25. Senior Hayden Claeys was all over the court with an amazing 40 assists to go along with 12 digs four kills and three aces. Junior Emry Claeys racked up 29 kills, served up four aces and had nine digs. Senior lefty Avery Neal also had a great night with 17 digs, seven kills and four aces, and sophomore Rylan Bernardy had the best game of her young varsity career with 12 digs and three aces.
