The Golden Eagles relied on power and pitching in their shutout victory over the Lions. Senior Jake Mason pitched a 2-hit shutout against a talented Lynden ballclub. Centerfielder Dylan Strom and first baseman Camden Raymond each launched home runs early on to supply the runs. Lane Simonsen took the loss for the Lions, but struck out eight batters in five innings. Third baseman Lincoln VanDiest reached base three times for Lynden.

The Trojans jumped out early, and scored often to remain undefeated on the season. Sophomore short stop Jaeger Fyfe drove in six runs for Meridian. Junior Alex Short picked up his second victory of the season, and also batted 2-for-3 with four RBI’s. Hunter Jones, Tyrel Brooks, Jacob Amundson, Silas Berschauer and Tyson Timmer each scored three runs.

With the score tied and the bases loaded, senior catcher Hayden Hollingsworth singled into left field to score Brady Scammell as the Strom walked off the Lyncs in a rain soaked six innings. Josh Kreta led Squalicum with a pair of hits, and Hollingsworth scored two runs. Ben Hebert threw the first four innings and Dylan Johnson picked up the win in relief. Jonah Terpstra hits a double in the second inning to score three runs for the Lyncs, and Lane Dykstra went the distance on the mound.

The Seahawks played nearly flawless baseball to top the Pioneers, without surrendering a base on balls, or committing an error. Sophomore third baseman Colby Martin went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Nooksack Valley, while Mathew Blake, Daemion Perez and Cole Bauman each also had hits. Kasey Newton was saddled with the loss, but struck out three batters in three innings.
