Lynden Christian 61, North Creek 52
The Lyncs entered the fourth quarter down 41-37 to the Jaguars, but muscled their way to another win down the stretch.
Supplying most of the muscle was senior forward Kayden Stuit who finished with 17 points and 21 rebounds on 8-of-11 shooting from the floor.
Senior forward Jeremiah Wright also had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds while junior guard Gannon Dykstra led the Lyncs in scoring with 21 points.

Senior guard Austin McKay added 15 points, nine of which came from behind the 3-point line.
FRIDAY – 12/29

Lynden Christian 66, Mountlake Terrace 64 (OT)
When Dykstra was set to inbound the ball with 5 seconds left in the game, it didn’t look good for the Lyncs who were down 56-51 to the Hawks.
However, he found senior guard Dawson Bouma on the left wing in stride who caught the pass, elevated and drilled the three-pointer with 2.5 seconds left on the clock.
Freshman forward Kaden Veldman then stood in front of the Mountlake Terrace in-bounder, waving his hands all over the place. Behind him, different Hawk players were running back and forth, trying to get open. An errant pass fell to the floor, and was scooped up by junior forward Oak Howell who quickly put the ball in the hoop just before the buzzer sounded.
It was the only shot Howell took the entire game, and one that he’ll remember for quite a while.
The game was heading into overtime.
Bouma scored six of his team’s 10 points in the overtime period, and finished with a season-high 38 points on the evening.
Wright was also very efficient by making 5-of-6 from the floor for 10 points, and he also added seven rebounds and three blocked shots.

Duckworth finished with eight points.
