Mount Baker 56, Sehome 50
The Mountaineers used a strong opening quarter to obtain an 18-7 lead, and after an evenly played second quarter the Mariners found themselves down 33-22 at the half.
Sehome played inspired basketball in the second half, and cut the deficit, but couldn’t climb all the way back as Mount Baker won the game on its home floor.
Even distribution was the name of the game for the Mountaineers as sophomore Peyton Abitia scored 11 points while sophomore Carter Hill and freshman Kell Reardon scored 10 points each.
Mariner senior center Braddock Duckworth scored 10 of his game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback.
