The Wildcats staged a fourth quarter comeback that saw them score 25 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Pioneers held on for the road conference win.
Junior center Brady Ackerman led Nooksack Valley with 21 points while junior point guard Caden Heutink added 12 points.
Junior forward Tristan Kamphouse came off the bench and scored eight points, including a pair of three-pointers.

Meridian 58, Elgin Park (BC) 45
The Trojans jumped out to a 21-10 lead after one quarter of play, but the Orcas tightened the game up in the second quarter and went into the locker room at halftime trailing Meridian 30-27.
The Trojan defense clamped down in the third quarter, allowing just six points from Elgin Park, and they pulled out the non-conference win at home.
Junior sharpshooters Talon Jenkins and Jaeger Fyfe had 17 points and 16 points, respectively. Jenkins added six rebounds and two blocks, while Fyfe grabbed seven rebounds and had four steals.
Senior center Christian Clawson had a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards while shooting 5-for-6 from the field.

Lakewood 65, Blaine 32
A pressing defense by the Cougars coupled with an off shooting night for the Borderites resulted in a conference road loss for Blaine.
The Borderites shot under 30% from the field, under 40% from the line and made just one out of 15 3-point attempts for the game.
Junior forward Josiah Weeda led his team in scoring with 12 points, and was the only Borderite in double figures.
Senior forward Noah Tavis grabbed eight rebounds, while Conner Dalry and Abdul-Fattah Kanagie each blocked a pair of shots.
