Lynden Christian 71, Burlington-Edison 41
The Lyncs avoided a shaky start and finished strong in their home opener against the Tigers.
Lynden Christian outscored Burlington-Edison 46-22 in the second half.
Freshman forward Kaden Veldman came off the bench to score 19 points and grab 17 rebounds, eight of which were on the offensive glass. He was also extremely efficient as he shot 8-of-12 from the field.
Senior guard Dawson Bouma also scored 19 points to help lead the way, and his back-court mate Dannon Dykstra added 15 points and five assists.
Senior forward Kayden Stuit added some muscle down low as he finished with eight points and nine rebounds.

Nooksack Valley 60, Cedar Park Christian 37
Perhaps eager to finally get on the court and play someone, the Pioneers raced out to a 26-6 lead after the first quarter.
Junior point guard Caden Heutink scored 11 of his team-high 14 points in the first quarter, and he also got his teammates involved often with as he dished out seven assists. Junior center Brady Ackerman was also in double digits in scoring with 12 points to go along with his seven rebounds, three blocks and two steals.
Junior guard Cory Olney had nine points and five rebounds, while junior forward Colton Lentz shot 4-of-7 from the floor and he finished with nine points. Senior forward Joey Brown scored eight points and had six rebounds.

Bellingham 74, Blaine 43
The Bayhawks shot 51.7% on their way to their second straight win to start the season.
Seniors Elias Togage and Wyatt Stephan scored 16 points each to lead Bellingham. Togage also had five rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals while Stephan led his team with 11 rebounds.
Kincade VanHouten had 14 points and nine rebounds, while Jesse Harward and Satchel Craig each reached 10 points.
The Borderites were led by the 12 points of Noah Tavis, who also pulled down a team-high seven boards. Senior guard Jesse Deming led his team with five assists and five steals.

Lakewood 63, Ferndale 41
The Cougars hit a lot of deep shots early on, which led to a 36-15 halftime lead.
The Golden Eagles were led by senior Bhavnoor Grewal who had 14 points, eight rebounds, four steals and two assists.
Junior forward Jonah Brillowsky had another nice performance off the bench, this time with 12 points, five rebounds and two blocks for the Golden Eagles who are still looking for their first win in the new gym.
