The Lions exercised great patience and shot selection to jump out to a 28-17 lead at the half, and ultimately defeat the 4A Vikings.
Sophomore Payton Mills led the way with 13 points and seven rebounds, and freshman Finley Parcher wasn’t far behind with 10 points and six rebounds.
Lynden also shot 73.7% from the foul line, and 36.4% from beyond the arc. Senior guard Mya VanderYacht connected on both of her three-point attempts.

Nooksack Valley 84, Sedro-Woolley 23
On a night where the Pioneers celebrated last season’s state championship team, Nooksack Valley played with a dominance that resembled last year’s squad.
Senior guard Devin Coppinger shot 13-of-19 from the field, scored 26 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and had six steals to lead the Pioneers.
Nooksack Valley racked up 28 thefts as a team, which led to easy transition baskets.
Senior forward Lainey Kimball had 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals, and senior center Tana Hoekema contributed with 13 points, five rebounds and a pair of blocked shots.
Kate Shintaffer had six steals and Kaylee Anderson dished out six assists.

Mount Vernon 49, Mount Baker 36
A strong fourth quarter allowed the Bulldogs to pull away from the Mountaineers, who were down by just five points entering the final period.
Freshman Violet Fox led Mount Baker with 12 points, six rebounds and five steals, and senior Jenna Wineinger was strong inside once again with seven points and 14 rebounds before fouling out in the fourth quarter.
Junior Faith Wilson also had a good overall game with six rebounds, five points, five steals and three blocked shots.
