Pressure defense and transition offense got the best of the Mountaineers on the road, and they were never able to climb out of the early deficit that was put on them by the Seahawks.
Sophomore guard Natalie VanLiew led her team with nine points, seven of which we made from the foul line in her 10 attempts. Freshman Violet Fox also shot well from the free throw line, as she made 5-of-6, while also leading her team with five steals.
Senior guard Rhonda Madera pulled down a team-high eight rebounds, and she gave the crowd a cheer when she drained a 25-footer just before halftime.
