Only one half of basketball was played because of the late start, and needing to catch the ferry ride back, but that was all that was needed for the Borderites who jumped all over the Wolverines from the opening tip.
Senior forward Jordyn Vezzetti led her team in nearly every statistical category as she finished with 11 points, five steals, four rebounds and two blocked shots.
The Dube’ sisters, Deja and Teia, finished with six points each, and freshman guard Marcella Bring hit a three-ball from the corner.
Although senior Alia Ball did not get into the scoring column, her three assists, three rebounds and two steals helped Blaine come out on top.

Ella Fritts hit the first shot of the game, and the last shot of the game. She will remember the last shot for a long time.
The sophomore guard banked in a three-pointer just before the final buzzer went off to break the tie in overtime and win the game for the visiting Lyncs.
She finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists, while senior Tabby DeJong posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Also scoring in double digits were sophomore guard Estela Hernandez with 12 points and junior forward Allison Shumate with 10 points.
