The Knights closed the gap to 40-33 with 3:30 left in the game when they hit a deep ball, but the Lions would finish the game on a 9-0 run, with sophomore Payton Mills scoring seven of those points during the run, as Lynden moved to 2-0 on the young season.

Not only did Mills finish the game strong, but she was on fire throughout the contest, as she connected on 13-of-18 from the field, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, and finished with a game-high 30 points. She also also grabbed eight rebounds and had a team-high three steals.

Freshman Finley Parcher was all over the glass with 11 rebounds to go with her eight points scored.

 

  • Bellingham 67, Marysville-Pilchuck 28

The Bayhawks had a huge third quarter to help defeat the Tomahawks.

Junior guard Malia Hanks led her team with a career-high 21 points, including shooting 7-of-12 from the foul line. She also had 10 steals in the contest.

Sophomore Lily Jude poured in 15 points of her own, and sophomore Mary Lockhart had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
