SEHOME 3, LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 1
The Lyncs won the first set at home 25-15, but the Mariners sailed on to win the next three, 25-18, 25-22 and 25-22.
It was a strong return for junior Maddie Behrends who had eight kills and a team-high five blocks, and it was junior Emmy Lee who contributed all over the court with five kills, seven aces, two blocks and 24 assists.
Seniors Audrey Aarstol and Molly Burfeind kept the serve steady with both passing 2.2 on the evening.
Lynden Christian junior Malia Johnson led with 16 kills and 20 digs, while junior Audrey Ellngboe served up five aces to go with her 17 digs and sophomore Ella Fritts led with 24 assists and four blocks.
LYNDEN 3, MOUNT VERNON 0
The Lions remained undefeated in conference play by defeating the Bulldogs 25-20, 25-9 and 25-10.
Sophomore Rian Stephen had nine kills with a tremendous .750 hitting percentage, and senior Grace Rice led her team with 28 assists and 10 digs, while also serving up four aces.
Seniors Ashley Shumate and Haylee Koetje each also had four aces while the two also combined for 17 kills and nine digs.
ANACORTES 3, FERNDALE 2
The Golden Eagles won the first set 25-23, but dropped the next two 25-16 and 25-19. Ferndale came back to win the fourth set 25-23 to set up the fifth and final set, which the Seahawks ultimately won 15-13.
Seniors Tia Gilday and Mallory Butenschoen led the way with Gilday getting 15 kills and two blocks, and Butenschoen contributing seven kills, 14 digs and an ace. Junior Olivia Copps also had 10 kills and six digs.
Freshman Brooklyn Larrabee dished out 42 assists to go along with her five digs, three kills, two aces and a block. Sophomore Katrina Ferry dug out 15 and served up a pair of aces, and junior Amelie McKeon was strong up front with five kills and two blocks.
BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, BLAINE 0
The Tigers showed their bite once again by defeating the Borderites in three straight, 25-13, 25-14 and 25-17.
Blaine was led up front by senior Teya Zaddack who had eight kills, four digs, two blocks and an ace, and junior Kaitlyn Harrington who finished with six kills, nine assists and four digs.
Senior Emersyn Bakker and junior Brie Smith each had seven digs, and senior Deja Dube had two kills and six digs.
