The Lyncs improved to 5-2 on the season by defeating Mount Baker in three straight sets.
Lynden Christian used an extremely balanced attack with junior Malia Johnson leading the way with six kills and three aces. Sophomore Ellie Meyer had five kills to go with her 11 digs, and junior Audrey Ellingboe continued her strong defensive efforts on the season with 15 digs.
The Mountaineers were led by the five kills of sophomore Amariah Nutting, the eight assists by junior Annalee Cohn and the eight digs by senior Emilee Anderson.
NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, BLAINE 0
The Pioneers improved to 3-3 on the season by defeating the Borderites 25-18, 25-16 and 25-14 at home on Monday night.
It was the usual suspects for Nooksack Valley as a superbly strong net-game helped secure the victory. Senior Tana Hoekema had 12 kills and an amazing five blocks to lead up front, along with senior Lainey Kimball who totaled 16 kills and two blocks at the net. Each also had an ace on the evening.
Senior Juliana Gimmaka dug out 15, with Kimball adding 11 digs and sophomore Payton Bartl gave out 28 assists. Senior Cailyn Likkel added a team-high six aces to go with her three blocks and four digs.
Blaine was led by senior Teya Zaddack who hit .458 with 13 kills. She also had seven digs and two aces, and senior Bella Vezzetti dished out 10 assists.
BURLINGTON-EDISON 3, MERIDIAN 0
In a battle of unbeatens, it was the Tigers that prevailed over the Trojans, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-13.
Junior Rylan Bernardy led with 19 digs and two aces. Eden Bernardy and Emry Claeys combined for 17 kills, 23 digs and four aces, while junior setter Grace Wells had 20 assists.
MOUNT VERNON 3, SQUALICUM 1
After losing the first set 25-20, the Bulldogs came back to win the next three and defeat the Storm.
