BLAINE 3, SQUALICUM 1

Zaddack

The Borderites got back into the win column by defeating the Storm in the first two sets at home 25-17 and 25-22. Squalicum came back to win the third set 25-18 before Blaine ended the match by winning the fourth set 25-15.

Seniors Teya Zaddack and Deja Dube were all over the court and contributed both offensively and defensively. Zaddack had 18 kills and 16 digs, while Dube finished with seven kills and 15 digs.

Junior Kaitlyn Harrington dished out 22 assists to go along with her four kills, 13 digs and three aces, and senior Emersyn Bakker had three kills, 11 digs and a pair of aces.

Squalicum’s statistics were not reported by the time this post was created, but can be edited later if they are received.

 

BELLINGHAM 3, LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 1

Flick-Williams

Despite being lower in the standings, the Bayhawks upended the Lyncs in four sets at home on Thursday.

Meyer

Bellingham was led by high-flying senior Chayse Flick-Williams who had 18 kills, two digs, three assists and two aces. She was joined up front by senior Catherine Chen, and sophomores Mary Lockhart and Jayda Knutsen, as the three combined for 27 kills.

Lockhart also had two blocks, and Knutsen had a team-high three aces, and senior Meysha Riviere gave out 40 assists.

Lynden Christian was led by sophomore Ellie Meyer who had 12 kills, 11 digs and six aces. Junior Malia Johnson finished with 15 kills and 12 digs, while sophomore Ella Fritts had 28 assists and junior Audrey Ellingboe dug out 19.

 

NOOKSACK VALLEY 3, LAKEWOOD 0

Hoekema

The Pioneers defeated the Cougars 27-25, 25-9 and 25-16 to win their fifth out of their last six Northwest Conference matches.

Senior Tana Hoekema led with 17 kills by hitting an amazing .500 on the night, while also digging out six, and sophomore Payton Bartl dished out 30 assists to go along with her six digs.

Seniors Juliana Gimmaka and Lainey Kimball controlled the back line with 53 digs between them, while Kimball also added 11 kills and three aces. Senior Cailyn Likkel contributed four aces and five digs.
