FERNDALE 3, SQUALICUM 1
After splitting the first two sets, the Golden Eagles won the next two 25-16 and 25-14 at home.
Golden Eagle seniors Mallory Butenschoen and Tia Gilday led up front with 11 kills each. Butenschoen also had six digs and four aces, and Gilday had three blocks.
Freshman Brooklyn Larrabee dished out 35 assists to go with her seven digs, three kills and two aces, while sophomore Katrina Ferry dug out 14 to lead her team.
The Storm were led by seniors Chloe Nguyen who had seven kills, three aces and five digs, and Liv Swayne who finished with six kills and three aces. Junior Jazzy Bersola led her team in assists with 15 and aces with six.
LYNDENÂ 3, LAKEWOOD 0
The Lions kept their strong season alive, despite not being at full health, by defeating the Cougars 25-20, 25-14 and 25-18.
Seniors Haylee Koetje and Grace Rice each posted double-doubles to lead Lynden. Koetje had 12 kills and 10 digs, while Rice posted 32 assists, 11 digs and four aces. Senior Mya VanderYacht led the defense once again with 23 digs.
Sophomore Rian Stephan and freshman Finley Parcher combined for 13 kills, while senior Ava Langstraat had five kills and junior Kamryn Hermanutz finished with four kills and two aces.
SEHOME 3, MERIDIAN 0
The Mariners were victorious in a much anticipated match in the Northwest Conference, as they beat the Trojans 25-22, 25-21 and 25-19.
Sehome junior Leah Lockwood and sophomore Anya Winter were very strong in the middle, with no hitting errors and a combined hitting ratio of .350. Senior Molly Burfeind had three aces to go along with her 23 digs, and sophomore Makenna Andrews wasn’t far behind with two aces and 10 digs.
The Trojans were led by their lone senior Emry Claeys, who finished with 17 kills, 12 digs and a block. Rylan and Eden Bernardy each had three aces, and Grace Wells finished with 24 assists and eight digs.
ANACORTES 3, MOUNT BAKER 0
The Seahawks won their seventh conference match, this time by beating the Mountaineers in three straight sets.
Senior Emilee Anderson and junior Annalee Cohn each had a team-high six digs, and sophomore Maddi Lewis and Anderson each had a pair of kills. Sophomores Natalie Van Liew and Amariah Nutting each had a block.
