The Storm got into the win column for the first time this season by defeating the Mountaineers in three straight sets at home.
Junior setter Jazmin Bersola filled in for injured senior Lexi Roselli and gave out 19 assists to go along with her two aces. Senior Olivia Swayne led her team with nine kills and six aces, while also posting six digs, and sophomore Jolie Pax followed suit with eight kills, nine digs and four aces.
Mount Baker was led by junior Annalee Cohn who had eight assists, seven digs and a kill and junior Dakota Jimmie who had 16 digs.
MERIDIAN 3, LYNDEN CHRISTIAN 1
The Trojans remained unbeaten, this time at the hands of the Lyncs.
Meridian won the first two sets 25-17 and 25-23 before Lynden Christian came back to win set three 25-22, but the Trojans closed out the Lyncs 25-15 in set four.
Freshman Eden Bernardy served up a team-high eight aces to go along with her 15 kills and 16 digs, and sophomore middle blocker Taya Benson was a model of efficiency with four kills hitting .571 and a block.
Junior libero Rylan Bernardy led her team with 19 digs, while senior Emry Claeys had 20 kills and three aces, and junior setter Grace Wells had 42 assists.
Freshman Joceyln Eshuis led the Lync attack with nine kills, while sophomore Alli Wright had four kills and three blocks.
LYNDEN 3, BLAINE 0
The Lions stayed the course in conference play by defeating the Borderites 25-14, 25-13 and 25-10.
Freshman middle Finley Parcher led Lynden with four aces while also posting seven kills. Senior Mya VanderYacht dug out 20, senior Grace Rice dished out 26 assists and seniors Ashley Shumate and Haylee Koetje combined for 13 kills.
Lynden senior Kasi Thomas also had three aces and six digs, and sophomore Rian Stephen had four kills.
Blaine was led by junior Kaitlyn Harrington who had five kills, three aces and eight digs. Senior Bella Vezzetti also contributed with three kills, six assists and three blocks.
