In a battle between two teams on the rise this season, it was the Mariners who bested the Bayhawks, 25-22, 25-14 and 25-12 at home.
The net game was huge for Sehome, with sophomore Hayden Niewiadomski supplying 24 kills and a block. Senior Ava Lehn had six kills and a block, and junior Leah Lockwood had three kills and a block. Junior Maddie Behrends led with two blocks, while junior Emmy Lee led her team with 36 assists and four aces.
Bellingham was led by the eight blocks each from senior Chayse Flick-Williams and sophomore Jayda Knutsen, and senior Meysha Riviere had a team-highs in assists (21) and digs (11).
FERNDALE 3, SEDRO-WOOLLEY 0
The Golden Eagles bounced back from a loss earlier in the week to defeat the Cubs in three straight sets.
Ferndale served up an amazing 17 aces, with senior Mallory Butenschoen picking up five of them. She also led with 10 kills, while junior Amelie McKeon racked up six kills and an amazing 4.5 blocks, and senior Tia Gilday had seven kills and two blocks.
Junior Mariah Reyes had four aces, sophomore Katrina Ferry dug out nine to go with her three aces and freshman Brooklyn Larrabee totaled 30 assists, five digs and two aces.
