Already leading 8-4 after five innings, the Trojans poured it on in the top of the sixth by scoring 12 runs to pick up the road victory, and the 200th win in Coach Steve Slesk’s career. The Wolves pitchers struggled with command, and the Meridian batters took advantage by walking 16 times, and reaching base eight more times after getting hit by a pitch. Junior first baseman Lincoln Hoefer led the offensive attack with three hits while also driving in two runs and scoring twice more. Catcher Ian Forbes and center fielder Jonah Aase each picked up three runs batted in and freshman pitcher Nate Payne struck out eight batters and allowed just one hit to pick up his first varsity victory on the mound.

For the second game in a row, the Borderites scored 15 runs, and it happened again after a big second inning. Blaine scored eight runs in the second before giving up three runs in the first inning. Catcher Evan Yates and first baseman Alejandro Moser-Hernandez each picked up a pair of hits, and shortstop Deon Bowman knocked in four runs. Second baseman Grady Swinburnson and right fielder Owen Wenger each scored three runs for the Borderites, and Brady Dohner struck out four batters and gave up just two hits in three innings of relief on the mound.

The Lyncs scored three runs in the first two innings and tacked on four more in the fourth inning before scoring in double digits in their second game in a row. Junior second baseman Austin Engels continued his hot hitting as he belted two doubles before finishing his night with a grand slam over the left field fence in the seventh inning. Seniors Jonah Terpstra and Brody Bouwman each had a pair of hits for Lynden Christian, and sophomore pitcher Eli Maberry struck out six batters in five innings of work to pick up his first victory of the season. The Storm were led by Dylan Johnson who had two hits.
