Lynden Christian 8, Sedro-Woolley 2

Senior pitcher Jonah Terpstra allowed just three hits in his complete game effort, and junior second baseman Austin Engels blasted his fourth homerun of the season as the Lyncs picked up the big conference win. Lynden Christian also scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to break the game wide open, which was tied 1-1 through three innings of play. The patient Lyncs drew 13 walks, with sophomore Eli Maberry leading the way with three, and senior Eddie DeYoung scored two runs.

Lynden 6, Lakewood 1

Senior Lane Simonsen became the first pitcher in Whatcom County this season to reach six wins, and he did it by striking out 12 batters while allowing just three hits as the Lions picked up the road victory. Senior second baseman Cooper Moore also had a huge night as he went 4-for-4 with a triple and two runs batted in. Junior Tristan Thomas drove in two runs, freshman Gordy Bedlington scored two runs and sophomore Matthew Carroll did both by driving in two runs and scoring two runs.

Blaine 10, Oak Harbor 5

Borderite junior catcher Evan Yates continued his hot hitting by driving in four runs with two doubles to help power Blaine past the Wildcats. Freshman pitcher Joshua Cochran struck out 11 batters over five innings as he picked up his first varsity victory. He also drove in two runs on offense, as did fellow freshman Aaron Garza who hit a double.

Meridian 8, Sehome 5

In a crazy back and forth game that saw five lead changes, it was the four runs by the Trojans in the bottom of the fifth inning that stuck as Meridian held on to defeat the Mariners. Sehome sophomore Hudson Neff started the game off with a bang when he drove the second pitch of the game to right field for an inside-the-park homerun, but the Trojans struck back for two runs in the bottom of the first inning in what was the initial lead change of the game. Meridian was led by junior designated hitter Jonah Aase who finished with a single, a triple, a run scored and two runs driven in. Neff and fellow sophomore Gunnar Tweit each had a pair of hits for the Mariners.

Ferndale 7, Squalicum 6

The Golden Eagles held a 4-2 lead after five innings, but the Storm powered through for four runs in the bottom of the sixth to take a 6-4 lead going into the final inning of play. Ferndale scored three runs in the top of the seventh without a base hit as errors and walks did Squalicum in. The Storm were able to get the potential tying run on base in the bottom of the seventh, but never got past second base. Golden Eagle sophomore Fenton Vasak finished with two doubles, three runs batted in while also grabbing his fifth win of the season on the mound. Squalicum got a pair of hits from seniors Brady Scammell and Colby Lewis.

The Seahawks scored all their runs in the first two innings and cruised from there to take the win. Sophomore Gavin Sternhagen reached base three times for the Mountaineers who also got hits from Caden Mosher and Cameron Hesyck.
