The Lions scored five runs in the top of the third to kick off the scoring in the ball game, and needed to add throughout as the Vikings scored in four of the last five innings to keep it close. Senior middle infielders Cooper Moore and River Langstraat each collected two hits and two runs batted in to lead the Lynden offense, while sophomore Matthew Carroll also knocked in two runs and senior Austin Tolsma scored twice. Carroll also pitched into the sixth inning, struck out three batters and picked up his second win of the season.
