Senior pitcher Lane Simonsen did a little bit of everything to lead the Lions as he struck out nine batters and allowed just two hits over six innings while also hitting a double, a single, and scoring two runs. Senior right fielder Austin Tolsma drove in three runs with two base hits. The Borderites got hits from seniors Mason Akre and Hunter Vezzetti.

Two pitches into the game the Golden Eagles led 2-0, thanks to a double by junior Talan Bungard and a homerun by senior Camden Raymond. That set the tone for an offensive game on both sides. Ferndale led 9-2 going into the bottom of the fifth inning, but the Pioneers scored five runs to narrow the gap, but it wouldn’t be enough. The Golden Eagles got a pair of hits from Fenton Vasak, Colton Stenvers and Braden Ebbesen. Nooksack Valley got three hits from junior Colby Martin while senior second baseman Jesse Tresselt had two hits and four runs batted in.

Run scoring singles by sophomore Eli Maberry and senior Carson Libolt in the first inning was all the scoring that would be needed as LC senior Jonah Terpstra gave up just two hits in his complete game effort on the mound. Trojan senior Silas Berschauer’s triple in the fourth inning scored junior Jonah Aase, and Meridian’s other hit came from junior first baseman Lincoln Hoefer.

Each team scored a run in the first inning, and the score remained 1-1 until the Storm scored their second run in the bottom of the sixth inning to take a late lead. The Mountaineers were able to score twice in the top of seventh after senior Braedon Scott reached on a dropped third strike, and the next two batters were hit by a pitch to load the bases. Mount Baker catcher Cameron Hesyck then blooped the ball in the infield, and the throw home went over the catcher’s head which allowed the Mountaineers to score two runs. Sophomore Toga Tigilau pitched the final four innings and was able to get the final three outs in order to secure Mount Baker’s second win in a row.

The Mariners held a 4-3 lead after four innings of play, but the Cubs poured it on in the final three innings to come away with the victory. Sophomore second baseman Hudson Neff had two hits and junior first baseman Grady Bernhard doubled in two runs as they led the Sehome offense.

It just wasn’t the Bayhawks’ day down south as Seahawk pitcher Kannin Crews threw a no-hitter. Senior pitcher Owen Rasmussen scattered four hits over five innings and struck out five batters.
