Brillowsky

The Golden Eagles outscored the Pioneers by a tiny bit each quarter, and ultimately won the afternoon home by game by 10 points in a physical Whatcom County battle.

The Ferndale trio of forwards, which include seniors Jonah Brillowsky and Hunter Wills, and junior Mantaj Singh, came into the game combining for 82% of the scoring for the Golden Eagles. In this contest, they outdid even themselves as they scored 85% of their team’s points.

Heutink

Brillowsky led with 19 points, and was closely followed by Singh. Wills added 10 points, and senior forward Tommy Mack came off the bench to provide a ton of hustle plays, as well as five points of his own.

Pioneer point guard Caden Heutink led his team with 14 points, including a pair of three-pointers in the second half to keep his team in it.

Junior guard Cole Coppinger added 13 points for Nooksack Valley.

It was all Lyncs in the late game on the road, as the complete team effort kept their record unblemished.

Sophomore forward Kaden Veldman was 10-for-13 from the field for 21 point, while also picking up five rebounds and three blocks, and senior guard Gannon Dykstra had 19 points, nine rebounds, six assists and four steals.

Junior guard Eli Maberry came off the bench to score 15 points, and senior forward Luke VanKooten added 13 points and eight rebounds.

Wright

Mariner junior point guard Nolan Wright had 30 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and four steals to lead his team to victory at home against the Borderites.

Blaine had a slim 15-14 lead after one quarter, and was down by just five points at the half, but Sehome pulled away in the second half.

Weeda

Sophomore guard Quincy Tanovan added 19 points and five steals for the Mariners, and senior forward Cooper McAtee had seven points and five boards.

The Borderites were led by senior guard Josiah Weeda who finished with 13 points and six assists.

Senior forward Abdul Kanagie added six points and seven rebounds for Blaine.
