  • Mount Baker 71, Sehome 53

Reardon

The Mountaineers came out hot at home, and held a double-digit lead at the half, before completing the task at the final buzzer.

Team-ball, smart play and hustle was the combination for Mount Baker which totaled 18 assists in its 28 made shots. The Mountaineers also turned the ball over just eight times, and dominated the glass with 38 total rebounds, 15 of which came on the offensive side.

Wright

Sophomore center Kell Reardon led the way with 24 point, 11 rebounds, three blocks and three assists, while making 11 of his 18 shots.

Junior guard Carter Hill added 11 points, five assists and four rebounds, and senior forward Luke Smith had 10 points and seven rebounds.

The Mariners were led by junior point guard Nolan Wright who finished with 20 points and six assists, and sophomore guard Quincy Tanovan who threw in 11 points.

Junior forward Xavier Kelley led Sehome with 11 rebounds.

Jenkins

The Trojans were down by six points entering the final quarter of play, and poured in 21 points in the final eight minutes to take the seven-point win on the road.

A corner 3-pointer by senior forward Talon Jenkins and a turnaround jumper near the foul line by senior guard Jaeger Fyfe in the last two minutes gave Meridian the breathing room that was needed.

Nixon

The Trojans finished the game by hitting foul shots, and grabbing multiple offensive rebounds, which led to more trips to the free throw line.

Jenkins scored a game-high 23 points, while also leading his team with eight rebounds and three steals.

Fyfe added 10 points and seven rebounds, and senior center James Hedahl scored 10 points.

The Storm were led by senior guard Marcus Nixon who shot 8-for-13 from the field for 18 points. He also had have assists, four rebounds, four steals and two blocked shots.

Heutink

The Pioneers just didn’t have enough firepower at home as the Bulldogs put up 20 points in the fourth quarter to pick up the win.

Senior point guard Caden Heutink scored 17 of his game-high 19 points in the first half, which included hitting all five of his foul shots.

Senior forward Tristan Kamphouse was the big point getter in the second half as he put in 12 of his 14 points after halftime.

Senior guard Cole Coppinger added nine points, all of which came in the second half and senior center Lance VanBerkum had six points in his first start of the season.

The Tigers outscored the Borderites 17-4 in the second quarter, and then ran away with the victory in the second half.

Blaine was led by senior forward Abdul Kanagie who had 10 points, eight rebounds and two blocked shots, all of which led his team.

Junior forward Landon Melton added eight points of 4-of-6 shooting, and senior guard Beckum Bleazard finished with five points and seven rebounds.
