  • Meridian 75, Blaine 44

Fyfe

The Trojans took a 10-point lead after the first quarter, and maintained that lead through the end of the third quarter. However, Meridian stretched that lead in the fourth by outscoring the Borderites 21-0 in the final period to grab the home win.

Senior forward Talon Jenkins had 18 points and seven rebounds for the Trojans, which included shooting 4-of-5 from three-point land.

Weeda

Senior guard Jaeger Fyfe had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and he also collected six steals, three assists and two blocked shots. Senior center James Hedahl had 10 points and five rebounds off the bench.

Blaine was led by senior guard Josiah Weeda who shot a perfect 3-for-3 from deep, and he finished with 19 points.

Senior forward Abdul Kanagie added 14 points and five rebounds.

Heppner

Little could be done to stop Lynden senior Brant Heppner as the 6-foot-6 forward scored 27 points to lead the Lions to victory on the road. The Golden Eagles outscored Lynden in the second half, but wasn’t able to complete the comeback.

Singh

Junior forward Spencer Adams added eight points, while junior center Ty Jorgenson collected nine rebounds and sophomore point guard Gordy Bedlington dished out five assists.

Senior forward Jonah Brillowsky led Ferndale with 15 points, and junior forward Mantaj Singh finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.

Gilstrap

The Mountaineers stayed with the Tigers in the first half, and were down just 36-34 going into the break, but Burlington-Edison went on a 23-9 run in the third quarter and secured the win at home.

Mount Baker senior forward Darius Gilstrap shot 10-for-19 from the field and finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds and two steals, all of which led his team.

Senior forward Luke Smith added 15 points and nine rebounds.
