The Blackhawks led by double digits in the third quarter, but the Pioneers kept chipping away and were able to pull out the win on the road.

A big part of Nooksack Valley’s second-half success was the inside play of senior center Lance VanBerkum who shot 5-of-6 from the field, and 4-of-5 from the line for 14 points, while also grabbing eight rebounds.

Senior forward Tristan Kamphouse had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, and senior point guard Caden Heutink scored a game-high 15 points.

Lummi Nation was led by sophomore center DeAndre James and junior point guard Jerome Toby, each of whom scored 13 points. Junior center Tracy Powell came off the bench to add 10 points and two blocked shots.

Jorgenson

The Lions were down three points at the half, but outscored the Spartans 26-17 in the second half to keep their undefeated record this season.

Forwards Brant Heppner and Ty Jorgenson each posted doubles-doubles, and junior Spencer Adams knocked down four deep balls to elevate Lynden to the victory.

Heppner led in scoring with 17 points, and Jorgensen added 12 points, with both players grabbing 10 rebounds each.

Adams finished with 15 points, seven boards, and team-highs with five assists and two steals.

The Chargers took a five-point lead after one quarter, and held on to a single-digit advantage until the fourth when they ultimately grabbed to road win over the Bayhawks.

Junior forward Joe Harward had another big night with 25 points and 16 rebounds, while shooting 11-of-19 from the field.

Senior forward Kincade VanHouten added 15 points and nine rebounds, and senior guard Harmon Wienkers knocked down a pair of threes to finished with six points.

Both teams were tied up at 13-13 after one quarter, but the Cougars shot their way to a 10-point lead at the half.

The Storm crept back into the game in the second half, but eventually ran out of time as they dropped the contest on the road.

Sophomore guard Hunter Calloway led Squalicum with 18 points, and he was closely followed by senior forward Jaxon Hofer who finished with 13 points.

Junior guard Rhys Knowlton scored eight points off the bench, and forwards Marcus Nixon and Laki Fagaautau scored six points each.
