The Mountaineers were able to squeeze one more game in before the holiday break, and they made the most of it at home as they methodically defeated the Tigers.

Senior forward Darius Gilstrap had 19 points, 15 rebounds and six assists to lead Mount Baker to its fifth win of the season.

Senior guard Payten Abitia came off the bench and ignited his team with a double-double as well, as he posted 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Sophomore center Kell Reardon had nine points and eight boards, and senior guard Chris Armbright knocked down a trio of three-pointers and handed out three assists.

The Lyncs held a 14-point lead at the half, but the Eagles stormed back to take the advantage late in the game, and ultimately come out on top at home.

Senior guard Gannon Dykstra went off for 36 points to lead Lynden Christian. He also had 10 assists and six rebounds.

Sophomore guard Dawson Hintz also played in his first game of the season, following a football injury from a few months ago, and he added 19 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. He also shot 5-for-8 from beyond the three-point line.

The double-double machine that is sophomore Kaden Veldman did it again with 13 points and 10 rebounds. he also had four assists, three blocked shots and two steals.
