Sehome Coach Brad Jackson talks to his team during a timeout against Lakewood.
  • Lakewood 53, Sehome 43

The Mariners scored 19 points in the second quarter, and led 25-22 at the half, but the Cougars outscored Sehome 31-18 in the second half to pick up the victory in a loser-out game of the 2A district tournament.

Sophomore point guard Nolan Wright led the Mariners with 11 points, while also posting five rebounds, four steals and three assists. Freshman guard Quincy Tanovan was hot early on, as he finished with 10 points, but cooled off in the second half.

Sophomore center Cole Turrell added eight points and seven rebounds for Sehome.

  • Anacortes 78, Bellingham 60

Bayhawk senior guard Wyatt Stephan finished with 21 points, seven rebounds, six assists and nearly played the entire game, but it was enough to combat the 37-point effort by Seahawk junior Davis Fogle as Bellingham lost in the loser-out 2A district tournament game.

Sophomore forward Joe Harward came off the bench to score 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the floor, and his older brother Jesse muscled his way to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Junior forward Kincade VanHouten finished with eight points, and senior forward Elias Togagae grabbed a team-high nine rebounds.
