The Golden Eagles used a 29-3 run in the second quarter to put the Borderites away at home.

Ferndale sophomore Mantaj Singh was incredibly efficient, making 11 of his 13 shots, and all three of his free throws, on his way to scoring a game-high 25 points.

Senior guard Noor Grewal added 13 points, eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals, while senior forwards Kevin Woods and Leo Myhre score seven points each.

Blaine was led by guards Justin Minjarez and Landon Melton, who each scored nine points.

  • Mount Vernon 76, Lynden 75

It was a high scoring affair between the Bulldogs and Lions with the first quarter ending 24-20 in favor of Mount Vernon. The Bulldogs held Lynden to only eight points in the second quarter but the Lion offense would play its best in the second half.

Lynden outscored Mount Vernon 21-16 in the third quarter and, with nine seconds left in the game, were within three points of the Bulldogs, however a foul allowed Mount Vernon to expand it to four points.

Junior forward Brant Heppner hit a three-pointer to put the Lions down by only one point, but the clock ran out before Lynden had another chance to score.

The Lions were led in scoring by senior guard Anthony Canales with 30 points, and junior forward Jack Stapleton with 16 points. Senior guard Charlie Ayres added an additional 11 points, and Heppner had 10 points.

  • Lakewood 75, Mount Baker 35

It was a rough home finale for the Mountaineers as the hot-shooting Cougars raced out to a 21-10 lead after one quarter, and led 44-17 at the half.

Mount Baker was led by junior forward Luke Smith who finished with eight points.

Sophomore guard Carter Hill added six points, six rebounds and six assists, and freshman center Kell Reardon also scored six points.
