The Lyncs had nearly doubled the Mountaineers’ score by the time the first quarter ended. With momentum and a 27-14 lead, Lynden Christian put up 22 points in the second quarter and 20 in the third. The Lyncs held a 40-point advantage entering the final quarter of play and let their reserves handle most of the final eight minutes of play.

Senior forward Jeremiah Wright scored a game-high 20 points, all of which came in the first half, and he also surpassed 1,000 career points.

Senior guard Dawson Bouma scored 17 points, including five baskets made beyond the arc. Senior forward Kayden Stuit and junior guard Gannon Dykstra each contributed 16 points.

For the Mountaineers, junior forward Darius Gilstrap led the way with 13 points, and sophomore guard Carter Hill had seven points.

  • Meridian 67, Nooksack Valley 62

The Trojans avenged a regular season loss of a few weeks ago to the Pioneers by beating them at their place to move into the district championship matchup with the Lyncs.

In a very even contest, where most of the team stats on both sides were incredible even, Meridian’s use of the deep ball came into play more often that it did for Nooksack Valley.

The Trojans hit 10 three-pointers, with senior Jacob Amundson and junior Talon Jenkins connecting on four each.

Jenkins led his team with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Amundson and junior guard Jaeger Fyfe each scored 12 points. Senior guard Taran Burks added 10 points and seven assists.

The Pioneers were led by junior center Brady Ackerman who had 12 points, eight rebounds and two blocks, and sophomore guard Cole Coppinger came off the bench to add 11 points.

  • Lynden 81, Burlington-Edison 65

Senior guard Anthony Canales continued his torrid pace as he lit up the scoreboard for 31 points on 12-of-23 shooting from the field, while also totaling six rebounds, five assists and four steals.

The Lions scored at least 20 points in three of the four quarters, as their unselfishness led to the best shots possible.

Lynden racked up 23 assists, with senior point guard Brady Elsner leading the way with 10.

Beneficiaries included junior forward Brant Heppner who had 17 points, and senior center Ty Holleman who had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

  • Anacortes 56, Sehome 40

The Seahawks led 30-19 at halftime, but the Mariners cut the lead to just five points after three quarters, as Anacortes was then up just 36-31.

The explosive Seahawk offense took over in the final quarter, and scored 20 points to secure the home win.

Freshman guard Quincy Tanovan led the Sehome scoring with eight points.

Senior forward Austin McKay finished with seven points, and sophomore forwards Cole Turrell and Carter Duckworth each scored six points.

  • Lakewood 71, Bellingham 49

The Cougars raced out to a 20-7 lead, and the Bayhawks were never able to recover from it.

Junior forward Kincade VanHouten led Bellingham with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while shooting 7-of-15 from the field.

Junior wing Gabe VanHofwegen added 14 points, while hitting four deep balls, and senior guard Wyatt Stephan notched eight points, three rebounds, three assists and three blocks.

  • Marysville-Getchell 76, Ferndale 58

The Golden Eagles led 16-12 after one quarter of play, but the Chargers got their offense going and scored over 20 points in each of the following three quarters to eventually end the season for Ferndale.

Sophomore forward Mantaj Singh led Ferndale with 18 points (7-of-11 from the floor), four rebounds and two steals.

Junior forward Jonah Brillowsky had 16 points, senior guard Bishop Ootsey finished with 13 points and senior guard Noor Grewal added eight points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
