Both the Storm and Mountaineers were slow to get their engines going and the two offenses totaled 11 points in the first quarter. Out in front by three points, Squalicum found the momentum, scoring 20 points in the second period and took a 15-point lead at the half.

The Storm expanded their lead by three in the third before outscoring Baker 16-3 in the final quarter.

Squalium’s leading scorer was junior guard Marcus Nixon who scored 21 points to match his jersey number. Freshman guard Hunter Calloway contributed 17 points as well.

Sophomore guard Jordan Bailey led Mount Baker’s scoring efforts with nine points, and junior guard Chris Armbright added eight points.
