The Lions used quickness on defense, and sharp shooting on offense to collect a 19-5 lead after one quarter, and they went into the locker room with a 39-12 lead at the half.
Senior guard Anthony Canales was tremendously efficient as he knocked down 6-of-8 shots from the floor, including all four of his 3-point attempts, and he finished with a game-high 19 points.
Junior forward Jack Stapleton enjoyed his biggest game of the season by scoring 17 points while also posting five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Junior forward Brant Heppner finished with 10 points, nine boards and two blocked shots and senior point guard Brady Elsner handed out eight assists, had four steals and four points.
Bayhawk sophomore Joe Harward came up from the JV squad, and in his first varsity action of the season he scored 14 points to lead Bellingham.
Senior point guard Wyatt Stephan added eight points and three assists for the Bayhawks.

Anacortes 68, Squalicum 47
An early 26-2 run by the Seahawks was a major factor in the decision, the other was 6-foot-7 junior guard Davis Fogle, who scored a game-high 37 points.
Freshman point guard Hunter Calloway found his shooting stroke in the second quarter for the Storm, and he finished with 19 points, six rebounds and three assists on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor. That also included him making four of his eight 3-point attempts.
Junior guard Marcus Nixon also filled up the stat sheet with 10 points, nine boards and four steals.

Sedro-Woolley 64, Blaine 57
The Borderites played well, but just didn’t have enough against the visiting Cubs.
Senior forward Noah Tavis posted a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. He also had four assists, while also knocking down 5-of-6 from the foul line and 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.
Junior guard Josiah Weeda had 15 points and four rebounds, and senior forward Conner Dalry finished with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Mount Vernon 85, Meridian 50
The Bulldogs rode a hot start to the tune of a 47-20 lead at halftime.
The Trojans shot well in the third quarter, but didn’t have enough firepower to overcome the deficit.
Junior guard Jaeger Fyfe led Meridian with 15 points, and shot 5-for-5 from the foul line.
Junior guard Talon Jenkins was also perfect from the charity stripe, and he finished with 14 points.
