The Storm shot 47% from the floor, and committed just nine turnovers, which helped them pick up the conference win at home.

Freshman point guard Hunter Calloway turned into a “points” guard as he connected on 9-of-16 shots for a game-high 20 points.

Junior guard Marcus Nixon neared a triple-double with nine points, nine assists and eight rebounds while sophomore forward Laki Fagaautau came off the bench to rip down 10 rebounds.

The Pioneers were led by junior point guard Caden Heutink who finished with 12 points, five assists and four rebounds.

  • Bellingham 56, Oak Harbor 45

After leading 25-23 at the half, the Bayhawks scored 25 points in the pivotal third quarter which helped enable them to pick up the road victory.

Strong inside play from the Bellingham forwards helped make the difference as senior Elias Togagae led the way with 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Junior forward Kincade VanHouten also posted a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards while senior forward Jesse Harward added 10 points and seven rebounds.

  • Meridian 72, Blaine 48

The Trojans doubled up the Borderites 24-12 in the first quarter, and wouldn’t let up as Meridian picked up the home win.

Junior guard Jaeger Fyfe shot 10-of-17 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the foul line to rack up a game-high 27 points on the night. He also picked up 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals to lead the Trojans.

Junior guard Talon Jenkins added 17 points and 10 rebounds while senior Christian Clawson finished with 10 points and nine boards and senior guard Taran Burks handed out nine assists while picking up four steals.

Blaine was led by senior forward Noah Tavis who finished with 10 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals.

  • Lynden 72, Mount Baker 29

It was all Lions from the opening tip as the taller, longer and more experienced Lynden team overwhelmed its younger counterpart.

Senior guard Anthony Canales shot 9-for-16 and finished with 20 points to lead the Lions while also picking up six rebounds, five steals and three assists.

Junior center Jack Stapleton added 16 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks while junior forward Brant Heppner scored 12 points to go with five boards and two blocked shots.

The Mountaineers were led by the nine points and seven rebounds of freshman center Kell Reardon.
