Freshman midfielder Harvest Howell scored three goals and assisted on another as the Lyncs captured their first victory of the season at home. Howell’s first goal came on a penalty kick halfway through the first half just moments after the Turks scored their first goal. It was 1-1 at the half, but Howell scored quickly to open up the second half. Junior Gunnar Parriera also scored, and senior keeper Johann Veltkamp had four saves.
